Challenge
Many users lack a clear understanding of how car lease takeovers work and struggle to navigate current leasing platforms. Through competitor analysis and user testing—via interviews, observation, and task-based sessions—it became clear that key leasing terms (e.g., "cash incentive") and the overall benefits of lease takeovers are often misunderstood or overlooked. Users expressed frustration with confusing menus, lack of educational resources, and poor mobile experiences.
concept
To address these challenges, the design must simplify the lease transfer process, highlight its advantages, and guide users with clear, accessible content. The platform should also be fully responsive, with intuitive mobile filtering and navigation. Ultimately, we aim to build trust by being transparent, helpful, and user-friendly—especially for first-time lease takeover participants.
SOLUTION
We focused on simplifying the lease takeover process by clearly communicating its benefits, demystifying key terms, and making the platform intuitive—especially on mobile. We added educational content, step-by-step checklists, and made it easy for users to filter and compare lease deals. The overall goal was to build user confidence and reduce friction throughout the journey.
OUTCOME
The results exceeded expectations. Despite minimal promotion—limited to organic Instagram tagging of car dealers—our platform gained strong traction. We now average around 450 unique monthly users, and our site ranks on the first page of Google search results. This early success validates both the user-centered design approach and the demand for a more transparent and user-friendly lease takeover platform.
